Carter, who served as president from 1977 to 1981, is known for his humanitarian work and post-presidential efforts to promote peace and democracy around the world.
Despite his advanced age and health challenges, Carter has remained active and engaged in public life. His latest health setback has prompted an outpouring of support and well wishes from political leaders and ordinary citizens alike. As the nation reflects on the legacy of past presidents, Carter's contributions to American democracy and global diplomacy will undoubtedly be remembered and celebrated.
